Density is the new oversell
Heard this week: a couple of well-funded managed hosts have quietly raised container density on shared nodes, packing more sites per box to protect margin without touching the sticker price.
You won't see it on the invoice. You'll feel it at peak traffic, when a neighbor's flash sale eats your I/O and your TTFB drifts. A source tells us one platform pushed density up roughly 30% after its last funding round closed.
Nobody announces this. It hides inside 'infrastructure optimization' release notes.
Watch this: if your site got slower the same month the host posted a glossy 'we upgraded our stack' blog, that's not a coincidence worth ignoring.
