Q: After moving servers, /Product-Page now 404s but /product-page works. Why?

A: Classic server-switch gotcha — good catch. Short answer: your old server treated URLs as case-insensitive and the new one doesn't, so capitalized old URLs and links now break.

Long answer: Many Windows/IIS setups ignore letter case, while Linux/Apache/Nginx treat /Page and /page as different addresses. Migrate between them and any indexed URL with capital letters suddenly 404s, even though a lowercase version exists. External links using the old casing break too. It's invisible until you crawl, because you naturally test with the "correct" lowercase version.

The fix:
— Add a server rule to 301 mixed-case URLs to their lowercase form
— Or set up case-insensitive matching for legacy paths
— Recrawl old URLs exactly as they were indexed (preserve casing)

Next step: pull old URLs from GSC, test them with original casing, and add a lowercase-redirect rule for any that 404.
