The carousel nobody swipes
Everyone says: "Carousels crush — they get the most dwell of any format."
The claim: the document format inherently wins because swiping racks up time-on-post.
What's actually true: carousels with completion win; carousels people don't swipe past slide one lose harder than a text post, because zero swipes is a strong negative dwell signal. The mistake is a boring cover slide. Tested fix: treat slide 1 as the entire job — it must promise a specific payoff and create an open loop ('slide 4 is the one that doubled our reply rate'). And cap it at 8-10 slides; completion rate craters after that. A swiped 8-slide deck beats an abandoned 15-slide one every time.
It's not the format winning. It's the cover slide doing all the lifting.
