Reach tab vs Engagement tab: which lies to you
A source who reads analytics for a living tells me most creators diagnose flops from the wrong tab.
— Reach tab (impressions, CTR) tells you if the PACKAGING failed — bad thumb or title means low CTR despite good content
— Engagement tab (avg view duration, retention curve) tells you if the CONTENT failed — high CTR but a cliff at 0:30 means the hook lied
Confidence: high. Mixing these up is the single most common self-misdiagnosis I hear.
For a channel like yours: CTR under ~4% with normal impressions? Fix packaging. Good CTR but a 30-second cliff? Fix the hook. Never 'improve everything' — the tabs tell you which one.
