You obsess over LINK velocity and completely ignore anchor velocity
Everyone counts how many links land per week. Almost nobody tracks how fast their EXACT-MATCH anchor ratio is climbing. That's the actual trip wire.
Forty links in a month is fine. Forty links all carrying "best payday loans online" in a month is a confession. The pace of commercial anchors is the signal that gets pages buried, not raw link count.
Fix: cap exact-match at single digits per 100 new links and front-load brand/URL/naked anchors early.
Stop watching the wrong speedometer. What's YOUR exact-match ceiling? Fight me.
