Breadcrumbs that lie about the URL
Found a store where the breadcrumb said Home › Shoes › Running but the URL was /p/8839201. Schema breadcrumbs rendered in the SERP pointing at folders that didn't exist as pages.

What I did:
— made the breadcrumb path match a REAL clickable folder hierarchy
— each crumb = an indexable page, not a dead label
— pulled BreadcrumbList schema from the same source as the visible trail

A breadcrumb is a promise of structure. If the folder it names returns a 404 or redirects, you're feeding Google a fake tree.

Caveat: regenerate your schema after — stale JSON-LD will keep pointing at the old crumbs.
