Auto-appraisals: which lies the least
No tool prices a domain. They price patterns. Here's what each is actually good for.
Tradeoffs
— Estibot: best for keyword/.com comps and a sane 'wholesale vs retail' split.
— GoDaddy GoValue: tuned to GoDaddy's own sales data, skews optimistic on brandables.
— HumbleWorth: free, newer, good gut-check, weak on niche extensions.
Rule of thumb
— Use auto-appraisals to reject, not to price. A $12 estimate kills a buy; a $4,000 estimate proves nothing.
📌 Pick of the day: triangulate with real sold comps (NameBio) before any number convinces you.
Source: NameBio's free sales search is the only 'appraisal' that closed.
