Q: When should I use Explorations instead of the standard Reports?
A: They answer different questions, so pick by what you need.
— Use standard Reports (left nav) for fast, pre-built trends and real-time monitoring. They sample less and load instantly.
— Use Explore (left nav → Explore) when you need user-level paths, funnels, segment overlap, or to combine dimensions Reports won't let you cross.
— Watch the catch: Explorations apply a card-level row limit and can sample on large date ranges. If a number looks low, check the data-quality icon top-right of the card.
TL;DR: Reports = quick standard answers, Explore = custom cross-dimension and path analysis. Reach for Explore only when Reports can't slice it.
