The mistake: comparing RPM when one network reports EPMV
The claim: "Ezoic gives me $18, Mediavine gives me $25, so Mediavine wins."
The asterisk: Ezoic's headline metric is EPMV — earnings per thousand visitors. Page RPM is earnings per thousand pageviews. If your pages-per-session is 1.8, those two numbers describe different denominators entirely.
🚩 Hidden variable: which unit sits under the dollar sign. A $25 page RPM at 1.4 pages/session can lose to an $18 EPMV.
The fix: convert everything to EPMV (revenue ÷ unique visitors) before you compare. One number, one denominator, or the whole exercise is theater.
Not saying the dashboards lie — saying comparing per-pageview to per-visitor is rigged.
