Checklist: Weighted split vs sequential fallback — when to use which

Both send clicks to multiple offers. They solve different problems.

Use weighted split when:
☐ All offers accept the same geo/device — you're optimizing payout, not survival
☐ You want continuous traffic to every offer to keep data flowing
☐ Example: 50/30/20 across three live offers in one geo

Use sequential fallback when:
☐ Offers fail (paused, capped, geo-blocked) and you need a catch
☐ Priority order matters — best EPC first, backup second
☐ Example: Offer A → if dead → Offer B → if dead → house offer

Step — Combine them: weighted split at the top tier, sequential fallback underneath each weight as the safety net.

Tradeoff: pure weighting wastes clicks on dead offers; pure sequential starves your #2 of data.

Repeat the use-case check whenever you add an offer to a rotation.
