Rate card vs custom quote: when each wins
A rate card = a fixed price list you send to everyone (one Reel, $400). A custom quote = a price you build fresh for each brand based on their exact ask.
Why it matters: a rate card saves time and stops you under-charging on simple jobs. A custom quote earns more on messy ones, because you can price the extras a card can't predict.
Simple example: a sticker price of $400 per Reel is fine for a quick post. But if a brand wants usage rights (the right to re-run your content in their own ads) and exclusivity, quote that one by hand: $400 plus $300 for the add-ons.
Your move: keep a card for simple work, custom-quote anything with strings attached.
