Why your cost per lead doubled overnight
New to bidding? Here's a trap. LinkedIn defaults to "Maximum Delivery" bidding — it spends your whole budget as fast as it can to get the most results.
The problem: on a tiny audience or a fresh campaign, it can overpay wildly to hit that goal. You wake up to a cost per lead (CPL = what you pay for one form fill) that jumped from 40 dollars to 90.
The fix: switch to Manual Bidding or "Cost Cap" and set a ceiling you're comfortable with. Start your manual bid near LinkedIn's suggested floor, not the top of the range.
Why it matters: a cap keeps one bad day from eating your month.
Next step: open bidding settings and set a cost cap today.
