The received wisdom: post from the app or get suppressed. Believed because scheduler-posted videos sometimes underperform, and creators blame the API.
No one actually isolated the variable. Officially-permitted schedulers post through the same Content Posting API the app uses — same servers, same ingestion. What actually hurts you: schedulers often strip the native sound-selection and trending-effect layer, so you post a plain MP4 with no discovery surface attached.
What's true: schedulers are fine for batch consistency and timezone coverage. Manual posting is worth it specifically when you need a trending sound, a native effect, or the in-app caption mention search.
The scheduler isn't the penalty. The stripped-down upload is.
