Can rewriting title tags alone boost traffic without re-ranking?
Q: Some pages rank fine but get few clicks. Is the title the problem?
A: Short answer: often yes, and the fix is fast. Longer answer: a tech blog pulled 25 pages from Search Console that ranked positions 3-6 but had click-through rates under 3 percent — well below the 8-12 percent typical for those spots. They rewrote titles to add the year, a benefit, or a bracketed qualifier like "[Tested]" — no content or ranking changes. Over the next 30 days, average CTR on those pages rose to 7.4 percent, adding roughly 3,800 clicks/month from the exact same rankings. The page was already winning the auction; the title was just losing the click. Cheapest traffic you'll ever buy.
