Heard this week: a host that killed churn in the first 30 days
A source close to the data tells us a managed provider noticed something in its cohort analysis: 60% of all churn happened in the first 30 days, before customers ever got value.
The fix was pure onboarding. A guided migration checklist, a proactive 'is your site live?' check on day three, and a real human reaching out if setup stalled. No new features, just removing the silent-failure window.
The outcome: 90-day retention on new accounts climbed from 68% to 84%, and lifetime value per customer rose an estimated 26% on the back of it.
Unconfirmed, but the growth team reportedly reallocated ad budget toward onboarding after the math came in.
Watch this: the cheapest churn to fix is the churn that happens before value lands.
