Downgrading Elementor Pro tiers without breaking 25 sites
An agency held Elementor's $999/year Agency plan for 25 sites but used Pro features on only 9. We audited every install before downgrading.
What the audit found and saved:
— 16 sites used zero Pro-only widgets
— Moved those to free Elementor + 2 lightweight plugins
— License cost: $999/year to $399/year Expert tier
Pros:
— $600/year saved with no feature loss on live sites
— Forced a useful inventory of widget usage
Cons:
— ~10 hours auditing widget dependencies per batch
— Two sites needed a free-plugin swap to stay functional
Best for: agencies overpaying for builder tiers; audit actual feature usage before renewing the big plan.
