Why did my profitable campaign run me out of cash?
Q: A reader was 'profitable on paper' but kept running dry mid-month. Numbers looked green. What gives?
A: Cash-flow timing. Their offer had a 45-day hold (the delay before earnings are confirmed and paid). They paid for traffic daily but only got paid every 45+ days. Profitable, but cash-starved.
We ran the gap: at $400/day ad spend, they needed about $18,000 floating to cover 45 days before the first payout landed. They had $5,000. That's why they stalled.
Fix: they moved part of their budget to an offer with weekly payouts. Same profit, far healthier cash flow — they could reinvest fast instead of waiting.
Short version: payout frequency and hold length matter as much as the rate. Check them before you scale spend.
