Actually, Google's link-spam update generation has been demoting this exact pattern — UGC spam, profile links — since well before they disavowed. The links stopped counting long ago; disavowing them in 2024 was closing a door that rusted shut in 2018.

Reality check: old self-spam is embarrassing, not dangerous. It's already discounted.
