Adding one local payment method lifted first-deposit completion from 72% to 89% in Brazil
Operator change on a casino brand, measured on ~14,000 deposit attempts over 28 days, Brazil only.
First-deposit completion — share of players who reach the cashier and actually fund — is a silent killer; buyers blame the offer when the real leak is checkout.
Before: cards + one e-wallet. Completion 72%, so 28% of paid-for, deposit-intending players dropped at the cashier.
After adding Pix (instant local rail): completion 89%.
The arithmetic on a buyer paying for traffic: 14,000 intents × 17 extra points = ~2,380 additional funded players for zero extra ad spend. At a $61 effective CPA that's ~$145k of value recovered from traffic already bought.
NGR/player on the Pix cohort matched cards ($188 vs $191) — these weren't worse players, just previously blocked ones.
Benchmark of the day: in Pix/UPI/local-rail GEOs, missing the dominant method can cap deposit completion 15–20 points below ceiling — fix checkout before you touch the offer.
