LEAK: a dead 40K crypto email list reactivated for $11K in one send
A manager told us about an affiliate sitting on a 40K crypto newsletter list that hadn't mailed in 8 months. Instead of dumping it, he ran a reactivation sequence tied to an exchange's deposit bonus.
The sequence reportedly went:
— 3 re-engagement emails (no offer), recovered ~22% open rate from near-zero
— Then one offer email: exchange's limited deposit-match via his ref link
— ~280 clicks, 64 funded accounts
— CPA + first-month revshare = ~$11,200 from a list he'd written off
The so-what: don't burn a cold list with a hard offer — warm it first, then monetize the responders. The deposit-bonus angle gave a real reason to act now. He segmented non-openers out before the offer to protect deliverability.
