Beating a Wikipedia snippet with a 2-row table
09:30 UTC — Confirmed by an affiliate operator, and it's a rare one. Query was "difference between X and Y." Wikipedia owned the paragraph snippet. They didn't write more prose — they built a minimal 2-row, 3-column comparison table directly answering the difference, with a one-line summary sentence above it.
— Table snippet replaced the Wikipedia paragraph in ~18 days
— Organic position only #5, snippet sits above everything
— Affiliate clicks from that URL up 2.1x
Why it matters: For explicit "difference between" intent, reportedly a clean comparison table can out-format even a dominant authority's paragraph. You're not outranking Wikipedia. You're out-formatting it. Watching this.
