Today: a tiny banner change that tripled clicks
CTR means click-through rate — out of everyone who saw your notification, the share who tapped it. If 1,000 people see it and 10 tap, that's 1% CTR.
One buyer was stuck at 0.4% CTR. His notification used a clean studio photo of a product. On a hunch, he swapped it.
What he tried:
— He replaced the polished photo with a slightly blurry, "real phone camera" looking image.
— He kept the same words and same offer.
CTR jumped to 1.3%. Why? Push notifications live next to messages from friends. A perfect ad photo looks like an ad. A casual photo looks like a personal ping.
Try this: look at your top creative and ask, "Does this look like a friend sent it?" That one question changes a lot. Well done.
