Origin traffic dropped 94% with one Cloudflare page rule
Just did this on a $5 box serving a static-ish affiliate site getting 80k visits/day. Origin CPU was spiky, occasional 502s at peak.
Set a Cache Everything rule on the whole site, edge TTL 2 hours, plus:
— Cache-Control: public, max-age=7200 from nginx
— bypass cookie rule for /wp-admin and logged-in
Cloudflare analytics showed 94% of requests served from edge. Origin requests fell from ~80k to ~5k/day. The $5 box now idles at 4% CPU during what used to be peak.
