One blog post, fifteen fresh pins, and a 5x traffic jump
A travel blogger kept pinning the same three images to her best post and watched reach decay. Pinterest had seen those pins; it stopped showing them.
We changed the math. For that one post she made 15 genuinely fresh pins over six weeks — new images, new titles, new text overlays, all pointing to the same URL. Roughly two new pins a week, never a duplicate.
Pinterest treats a new image-and-text combo as fresh content worth testing, even to an existing page. One of the fifteen quietly took off. Her clicks to that post went from about 120 to 640 a month, driven mostly by that single winner she'd never have found by repinning.
Takeaway: 'Fresh pin' means a new image, not a new URL. Feed one good post many distinct pins and let the algorithm surface the winner you couldn't predict.
