Unpopular opinion: end screens are a worse affiliate tool than a single text overlay.
End screens send people to ANOTHER video — away from the description where your link lives. You spent the whole video building intent, then redirected it into the recommendation rabbit hole.
A simple on-screen text reminder at the payoff moment ("link below") keeps the buyer pointed at the description. End screens optimize for session time, not your revenue.
YouTube's default isn't your friend here.
