Your tool flags links by TLD, and that's lazy
The myth: links from .xyz, .ru, .cn and .top are inherently toxic.
Reality: Google has stated repeatedly that the TLD is not a ranking or spam signal in itself. A .xyz from a real publisher passes value; a .com from a PBN doesn't. The extension tells you nothing about the link's quality.
Actually, toxicity tools lean on TLD heuristics because they're cheap to compute at scale. It's a shortcut, dressed up as intelligence.
This is how legit international and new-gTLD publishers end up in disavow files — punished for their domain ending.
Reality check: judge the page and the publisher, not the three letters after the dot.
