A second server at the same provider is not "offsite."
Replicating to another droplet in the same cloud region and calling it offsite is self-deception. Same provider, same region means same power grid, same network backbone, same billing account, same control plane. A regional outage, a provider-wide incident, or a single suspended account takes both down together. "Offsite" means a different failure domain entirely — another provider, another continent, or cold storage you physically control. If one invoice dispute can nuke both copies, they were never independent. Diversify the provider, not just the IP. Change my mind.
