Vetting a link with the Majestic TF/CF split

Vetting a link with the Majestic TF/CF split
Word on outreach desks: people buy DR and get burned. The Majestic ratio catches what DR hides. Here's the vetting checklist before you ever pay:
—
Pull Trust Flow and Citation Flow for the domain. Healthy ratio sits near 1:1 or 2:3 Trust-to-Citation
—
A Citation Flow of 40 against a Trust Flow of 8 means lots of links, no quality — that's a spam beacon, walk
—
Check Topical Trust Flow categories. If a 'finance blog' scores top in Adult or Gambling, the history is poisoned
—
Look at the Trust Flow trend graph over 24 months. A vertical spike then plateau = bought authority, not earned
—
Cross-reference against Ahrefs DR — a 20-point gap between the two tools means one is being gamed
Multiple operators vet on the split, not the headline number. The ratio is where the bodies are buried. Watch this space.
