11:20 UTC — Two sources running rank trackers report a wave of featured-snippet 'losses' where the box simply vanished and an AI Overview took the slot, with the old snippet URL still cited <i>inside</i> the Overview.
Why it matters: your tracker logs this as a lost snippet and screams. But you may have actually upgraded — being cited as a source link in an Overview can carry more authority than a classic box. Before you 'fix' anything, check whether your URL appears in the Overview's source carousel.
