Before you scale links, fix your ANCHORS, not your speed
People obsess over how fast to build and ignore the only thing that actually triggers filters. Run this before adding a single link:
— Pull your current anchor distribution.
— Exact-match commercial anchors over ~10%? That's your real risk, not velocity.
— Branded + naked URL should be the majority, easily 60%+.
— Generic ("click here", "this site") fills the gap naturally.
A site with clean anchors can absorb a fast pace all day. A site stuffed with money anchors gets hit at ANY speed. Velocity is the scapegoat; over-optimized anchors are the actual crime.
