How a competitor's backlink profile leaks their vendor list
Word is you can reverse-engineer exactly which link vendors a rival uses — their profile is basically an itemized receipt if you know how to read it.
The connect-the-dots:
— Cluster their referring domains by shared footprint: same WordPress theme, same author pool, same 'sponsored content' disclosure wording, same outbound-link neighborhood
— Each cluster is usually one vendor's inventory. Match it against publicly advertised guest-post marketplaces and the sites they list
— Cross-reference: vendors resell the same sites to multiple clients, so a domain linking your rival AND three other brands in the niche is marketplace inventory, not editorial
Once you map the clusters, you know who they're paying and roughly what for — and you can decide whether to buy from the same shelf or avoid the burned inventory entirely. Multiple profiles in the niche trace back to the same three or four marketplaces. The receipt's been public the whole time. Watch this space.
