The affiliate who never feels guilty is more dangerous than the one who does
Hot take: a little discomfort is the only working safety mechanism left in this industry, and we keep training it out of people.
We celebrate the operator who's fully "detached," who treats every offer as pure arbitrage with no moral residue. That detachment gets sold as professionalism. It's actually the removal of the last brake. The affiliate who still flinches at certain offers has a functioning conscience doing risk management for free. The one who's proudly numb has disabled the only sensor that was protecting the people downstream — and eventually himself.
Guilt isn't weakness. It's your last alarm.
