How to set a recurring income goal and work backward
New to recurring? A goal is just a target broken into small steps. Let's reverse-engineer yours.
1. Pick a monthly target (e.g. $500/mo recurring).
2. Find your commission per customer (e.g. $5/mo).
3. Divide: $500 / $5 = 100 active customers needed.
4. Account for churn (5%): you'll need ~5 fresh signups/month just to hold steady.
5. Pick a timeline: 100 customers over 10 months = ~10 signups/month.
In plain English: target divided by per-customer payout = how many customers you need.
Worked example: $500 goal at $5 each = 100 customers. That's far less scary than "earn $500."
Today's tiny action: divide your dream monthly number by your per-customer commission and write the result.
