Before scaling content, fix these 7 SEO foundations on your SaaS site
Content scales cleanly only when the site can be crawled, understood, and measured. Start with a short audit:
1. Confirm important pages are indexable and canonicalized correctly.
2. Keep one clear URL for each page; redirect duplicates instead of letting them compete.
3. Build logical navigation from the homepage to product, use-case, integration, comparison, and resource pages.
Map each target topic to a search intent and a conversion path. A comparison page should support evaluation; an integration page should explain the workflow; a problem-led article should move readers toward a relevant next step. Avoid publishing several URLs that answer the same question.
Check the basics that affect trust and usability: descriptive title tags, useful headings, readable copy, fast templates, mobile-friendly layouts, and internal links with meaningful anchor text. Use structured data only when the page genuinely qualifies for it.
Set up measurement before expanding the library. Track organic landing pages, signups, qualified leads, and assisted conversions—not just rankings or traffic. Review whether each content cluster attracts the right audience and creates a sensible path to the product.
Scale only after these foundations are consistent across your key templates. Fewer strong pages with clear intent will usually outperform a larger library built on unresolved technical and measurement gaps.
