The 5-step page-template framework
Build the template once; every page inherits its quality.
— Step 1 (SEO): Map the template to one search intent and one head query pattern. Gate: two intents in one template → split it.
— Step 2 (Editor): Define mandatory unique modules (intro answer, data table, computed insight, FAQ from data). Gate: fewer than 3 unique modules → fail.
— Step 3 (Dev): Mark every dynamic slot and its fallback behavior. Gate: a null slot must collapse cleanly, never print 'undefined' or an empty heading.
— Step 4 (SEO): Lock title and meta description patterns with character bounds. Gate: title >60 chars or duplicate across entities → fail.
— Step 5 (Editor): Pilot the template on 10 real entities and read them as a human. Gate: if any of the 10 reads like filler, the template ships to no one.
Guardrail: scale the template only after the 10-page pilot passes.
Ship gate: don't publish until all boxes are checked.
