The LCP element was a headline, not an image. It rendered invisible until a 48KB web font finished — font-display: block with a 3s timeout.
— Switched to font-display: swap + preloaded the WOFF2 subset (48KB -> 14KB, Latin only).
— Text painted in the fallback at 0.9s instead of waiting on the font.
