Elementor's Popup Builder is convenient but historically loaded its assets broadly; Bricks and Gutenberg push you toward conditional or block-based popups that load only where placed. Test it: open a page with no popup and check whether the popup engine's JS still ships.

Pros (built-in popups):

Cons:
— Assets often load globally, taxing pages that never show a popup
— Each popup adds blocking JS to first paint

Verdict: convenient, but audit whether popup assets leak onto popup-free pages.

Best for: lead-gen sites — accept the weight only if you scope assets to the pages that need them.
