Elementor's hidden 'Experiments' that cut bloat
Most Elementor users never open Settings > Features, where flags quietly reduce page weight. Worth a review on their own.
Turn on: Optimized DOM Output (kills a wrapper layer), Improved CSS Loading (inline only used CSS), Inline Font Icons (drops the Font Awesome library request), and Optimized Markup. On a typical landing page these together shave 30-50KB and a few hundred DOM nodes.
Pros:
— Free, no addon, applies site-wide
— Inline Font Icons alone removes a render-blocking request
Cons:
— Some break older third-party addons that assume old markup
— No granular per-page control, it's all-or-nothing
Verdict: real gains, but regression-test your addons after flipping each flag.
Best for: existing Elementor sites that can't migrate but need to claw back Core Web Vitals.
