Images sell the click; video sells the trust—and most listings waste both
Main image is not just about a clean white background. It must read in a tiny search result: product shape, key use, and one clear reason to click. If the first image is vague, shoppers skip before your bullets get a chance.
Your gallery should answer objections fast:
• What is it for?
• How big is it?
• What comes in the box?
• How does it look in use?
Video works best when it removes friction, not when it looks cinematic. Show the setup, the texture, the scale in a hand, and one real use case. Keep the pacing tight; if viewers need context to understand the clip, the clip is doing too much.
A simple rule: every image should earn its slot. If a frame repeats the same message as the previous one, replace it with proof, comparison, or a close-up. Add text overlays only when they clarify, not when they decorate.
Make the shopper say “I get it” before they ever read a bullet. That is where conversion starts.
