Crawl showed /products/ and /products both 200ing. Two URLs, same content, split signals.
— Trailing slash: convention for directories, plays nice with most CMS folder logic.
— No slash: cleaner for 'file-like' URLs, common on flat-file and JAMstack setups.
The truth: Google treats them as separate URLs. Doesn't matter which you pick — matters that you 301 the loser to the winner site-wide and your internal links all use the chosen version.
The move: check your server config, pick the one your CMS already favors, 301 the other, then grep your templates so no internal link points at the dead variant. Mixed internal links re-summon the duplicate every crawl.
