They told you: "you must've been hacked." No, you hit an invisible CPU cap.
— Pull cPanel's "Resource Usage" graphs daily and screenshot the throttle spikes.
— Cross-reference with your real traffic in analytics. Flat traffic + throttling = oversold box.
— Log every "faults" or "LVE limit reached" entry from /var/log.
— Save the exact limits: EP, NPROC, IO, CPU% from the account.
— Send the bundle to support and demand the numbers they hid at signup.
Reality: "upgrade to fix slowness" is the business model, not the diagnosis.
