Filtering by DR vs traffic vs topical fit
Three filters, pick your order.
— DR first: fast, but inflated by link schemes. A DR 55 with 200 visitors is a graveyard.
— Organic traffic first: harder to fake, shows the site's actually alive. My #1 filter now.
— Topical relevance first: slowest to judge, but a relevant DR 25 beats an off-topic DR 60 every time for AI and rankings.
My stack: traffic gate (1k+/mo), then relevance eyeball, DR last as a tiebreaker. Flipped this order six months ago and my placements started actually ranking. I killed 40 "high DR" prospects in one session for zero traffic.
