Everyone says pinned wins because it's visible. Wrong. It wins because YouTube collapses your description on mobile, and 70%+ of your views are mobile.
The description link isn't dead — it's just hidden behind a 'more' tap most people never make.
So: pinned comment for the money offer, description for the boring legal stuff and secondary links.
