How a fitness creator stopped idea pins from being a traffic dead-end
A home-fitness creator's idea pins racked up saves — 50k monthly views — but sent almost nobody to her site. Idea pins don't carry a clickable outbound link, and she felt stuck.
She built a bridge playbook:
— Ended every idea pin's last frame with a spoken and on-screen line: 'Full 12-week plan — link in my profile'
— Set her profile's clickable website button to that exact plan, not her homepage
— For each idea pin, published one matching standard pin (with a real link) the same week
The idea pin earned the reach; the standard pin caught the traffic.
In two months her site sessions from Pinterest rose from ~200 to 1,400 a month, all from redirected idea-pin attention.
Takeaway: Idea pins build reach, standard pins build traffic. Pair them, and point every idea pin's profile button at one specific offer.
