Heard from an impatient growth team: restructured a page perfectly for the snippet, saw nothing in 48 hours, reverted — and reportedly Google recrawled the reverted version, killing the fix that was about to land.
We're hearing snippet changes commonly lag the edit by days to weeks depending on crawl frequency.
The fix — ship the change, request indexing, then leave it alone for at least 2-3 crawl cycles before judging. Watch the crawl log, not the clock.
Patience is part of the tactic. Watching this.
