Breadcrumb skipping the category nobody clicks
B2B catalog had breadcrumbs jumping Home › Product, skipping the category entirely. So the category pages had almost no internal links pointing in — only the main nav. They ranked weak.

Move:
— rebuilt the trail as Home › Category › Sub › Product
— every product now passes a link up to its category
— category link-volume jumped, rankings followed in ~5 weeks

Breadcrumbs aren't decoration — they're a massive internal-linking engine. Skip a level and you starve it of links. Each product is a vote for its category.

Caveat: keep the breadcrumb path identical to the URL folder logic or you confuse both crawlers and users.
