Wasted a whole week writing for a site that no-follows every outbound link. Never again.

30-second check before any pitch:

— Open one of their existing guest posts
— Right-click the author's link, inspect
— Look for <code>rel="nofollow"</code> or <code>sponsored</code>

No rel tag = do-follow = worth your time.

Also scan if they bury guest links in a generic "the team" box vs a real bio. Buried = weak.

I keep a kill-list of sites that no-follow. Saved me probably 20 hours this quarter. Inspect first, write second. Go.
