"Free email" pads the feature list. Now ask what it costs you when the host's IP lands on a blocklist.
The tradeoff:
— Bundled email: one shared IP for thousands of accounts. One spammer neighbor and your invoices go to Gmail's spam folder. Migration drags your email hostage too.
— Separate (Google Workspace / Fastmail / Zoho): $3-6/user, clean reputation, and switching web hosts never touches your inbox.
Decoupling email from hosting is the cheapest insurance in this niche. "Free" email shares a reputation you can't control.
Reality: never let your inbox depend on your web host's worst customer.
