Topic-hopping is confusing the classifier
Heard (Confirmed mechanic): the interest graph needs to classify your account to match it with the right audience. Jumping between crypto, fitness, and politics scrambles that signal — the algo can't decide who to show you to, so it shows you to no one.
The failure mode: posting whatever's trending for reach, then wondering why nothing lands consistently.
The fix:
— Hold a topical lane for 30+ days so the classifier settles
— Off-topic posts cost reach twice: that post flops AND it muddies your profile
— Use a separate account for unrelated interests
What it means for your reach: an undecided algo is a silent algo.
