Trusting the broker panel as your single source of truth

Trusting the broker panel as your single source of truth

The most common reporting mistake in broker affiliation: running your business off the broker's dashboard and nothing else. The panel is their version of events, optimized for their balance sheet.

Why that fails:
— Panels aggregate and round. 'Net revenue' may already net out chargebacks, bonuses, and a 'quality adjustment' you can't see itemized.
— Some panels under-report during disputes and quietly correct later, after you've made spend decisions on the wrong number.

The fix:
— Keep an independent tracker as your primary ledger; treat the broker panel as a reconciliation source, not the source.
— Demand raw, row-level exports (per-lead, per-deposit) instead of aggregate dashboards. If a broker refuses row-level data, treat that as a risk signal in itself.
— Track three numbers separately: your counted FTDs, their reported FTDs, and your paid FTDs. The gaps between them are your dispute pipeline.

Who should skip this: pure CPA-flat deals on a trusted network where you literally cannot influence the count anyway.

Verdict: Their panel, your ledger.
